Spot on! The Cloud is no longer the next big thing because it’s the current big thing. In terms of enterprise apps, CRM, Marketing and Logoistics are already Cloud based; ERP and HCM are moving to the Cloud and even though manufacturing and ops are laggards, there are new Cloud solutions in these areas being launched every month.

One note of caution we would inject is for users to beware the Fake Cloud. Many on-premise vendors are launching hybrid apps as Cloud apps when they fail to deliver on the basic Cloud benefits of multi-tenancy, upgradability, and agility.

The Cloud is the present big thing. The momentum shift is happening now and there’s no room for fakes!
