    Great information for bootstrappers. I am a big fan your blog posts. Lo and behold I used to be a teaching assistant for CNC machining with G-code about 20 years ago

    Kris, did you give up CNC?

    You’d like the G-Wizard G-Code Editor and Simulator. It’s been a great learning tool for many. It has a feature called “Hints” that tells what the g-code will do in simple English. Even the pros forget what the arguments are for a complex canned cycle.

    A lot of the principles are similar to what we take for granted in a modern programming IDE, but this is missing when programming g-code.
