IDC just announced that Successfactors is a leader for Worldwide Social Technologies specifically related to its Integrated Talent Vendor Assessment.
This one meant a lot as it directly put to test our stated product and go-to-market promise and singular focus on solving core functional KPIs, with purpose built collaboration software.
Back in 2012 we entered the cloud collaboration category when the market was faced with tepid adoption, little belief by executives that collaboration could directly accelerate business performance and as a result, rapid price commoditization, and for SAP / Successfactors, little brand presence in this category.
Yet customers saw gaping holes in their technology’s ability to meet business KPIs.
We decided to execute a market strategy that flipped the value proposition of collaboration on its head: Instead of spraying more collaboration technology across the enterprise, we looked for white spaces in core functional areas – sales, marketing, service, analytics and talent management that were not addressed by typical CRM, HR or other business applications, but were innately collaborative in nature and represented big pain points.
A 100+ group of phenomenal light house customers (to whom we are deeply indebted) partnered with us over the last three years to transform core business process, giving birth to work patterns by SAP Jam – high velocity transformative collaborative processes seamlessly integrated with CRM, ERP, Analytics and HCM applications to help customers (and partners) execute against established KPIs.
This report reflects the tenacious work by our team to help customers re-imagine core human capital processes such as on boarding, learning, mentoring and coaching, employee engagement and the like – real problems faced by customers and definitely on the agenda of the executive team.
Our pole position in these findings says a lot about SAP Jam but it speak volumes about the integrated thinking and collaboration between our teams across SAP Jam, our Successfactors Core HR and Talent Management product teams and of course our fantastic cloud marketing and sales teams:
Over 17 million subscribers, triple digit billings growth, a firm placement for SAP / Successfactors in this market category and a roster of household brands such as Marriott International, Cargill, ConAgra, Grundfos and hundreds of others trusting us to transform human capital management – all in 12 quarters.
Together, we worked really hard to rally around our goal to put the ‘Human’ back in Human Capital Management.
I’m so privileged to lead an incredible group of folks who put so much heart into rallying behind every customer, every day, over and over again. Congratulations to every one of you for placing so prominently in this report. Who said giant bubbles in tech are a bad thing? -)
